Happy Easter from your home and auto insurance carrier.

By April 14, 2022Insurance

We want to wish everyone a safe and happy Easter from your home and auto insurance carrier.  Easter is not typically one of the holidays we associate with a high volume of home and auto insurance claims.  Easter is typically a holiday with more food sicknesses and pet sickness than car accidents and house fires.  There are a couple of areas to be aware of that could lead to a potential insurance claim.  A couple of things to keep in mind are the amount of guest you are having as well as any Easter egg hunts.  We have touched on the basics of having crowds in your home for a holiday in other blog post.  Remember to keep walkways clear and make sure any rugs are securely anchored.  If you ones are around make sure steps are blocked safely as well.

Speaking of young ones and a possible insurance claim.

A happy Easter safe from and home and auto insurance claim could be derailed by an Easter egg hunt.  First, make sure that the egg hunt area is free of debris and trip hazards.  Toys left in the area are an example of something that could lead to a slip and full claim.  In addition, to toys look for any left out lawn equipment.  After that, it is time for the hunt to begin.  An Easter egg hung is a joyous occasion, however, keep an eye on young ones as they could run into traffic or areas they shouldn’t be in.  Also, if you are putting chocolate or candy in the eggs make sure you are aware of any allergies.

A couple of reminders.
